Serbia celebrates the first anniversary of the law on protection from exposure to tobacco smoke
NOVEMBER 2011 – On 11 November 2011, Serbia celebrated the first anniversary of full enforcement of the Law on the Protection of the Population from Exposure to Tobacco Smoke. Among other measures, the law prohibits smoking in offices and public areas and strengthens the national coordination mechanism and infrastructure for implementation of the WHO FCTC in the country. On this occasion the Head of the Convention Secretariat, Dr Haik Nikogosian, was invited to visit the country. With a view to reviewing implementation of the Convention and determining the next steps to be taken, he met Government officials and representatives of the National Assembly, including the Minister of Health, Professor Zoran Stankovic, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Professor Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, and Vuk Zugic, Director General for Multilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr Nikogosian also addressed the Committee on Health and Family of the National Assembly and met members of the Council for Tobacco Control and the National Committee for Tobacco Prevention.
A press conference jointly given by Professor Stankovic and Dr Nikogosian enabled the main messages of the celebration and WHO FCTC implementation to be shared with the public.
The Convention Secretariat and the Government will follow up on the outcome of the joint reviews with a view to strengthening implementation.
La Serbie célèbre le premier anniversaire de la loi sur la protection contre l’exposition à la fumée du tabac
Le 11 novembre 2011, la Serbie a célébré le premier anniversaire de la pleine entrée en vigueur de la loi sur la protection de la population contre l’exposition à la fumée du tabac. Entre autres mesures, la loi interdit de fumer dans les bureaux et les lieux publics et renforce le mécanisme de coordination nationale et l’infrastructure de mise en œuvre de la Convention-cadre de l’OMS dans le pays. À cette occasion, le Chef du Secrétariat de la Convention, le Dr Haik Nikogosian, a été invité à se rendre en Serbie. Afin d’évaluer l’état de mise en œuvre de la Convention et de déterminer quelles sont les prochaines mesures à prendre, il a rencontré des autorités gouvernementales et des représentants de l’Assemblée nationale, notamment le Ministre de la Santé, le Professeur Zoran Stankovic, la Présidente de l’Assemblée nationale, le Professeur Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, et M. Vuk Zugic, Directeur général pour la Coopération multilatérale au Ministère des Affaires étrangères. Le Dr Nikogosian a également pris la parole devant le Comité sur la Santé et la Famille de l’Assemblée nationale et rencontré des membres du Conseil de Lutte antitabac et du Comité national pour la Prévention du Tabagisme.
Une conférence de presse, donnée conjointement par le Professeur Stankovic et le Dr Nikogosian, a permis de transmettre au public les principaux messages de cette journée de célébration concernant notamment la mise en œuvre de la Convention-cadre.
Le Secrétariat de la Convention et le Gouvernement assureront le suivi des résultats des examens conjoints afin de renforcer la mise en œuvre.
塞尔维亚庆祝防止接触烟草烟雾法颁布一周年
2011年11月11日，塞尔维亚庆祝了该国《防止人们接触烟草烟雾法》全面实施一周年。除其他措施外，该项法律禁止在办公室和公共场所吸烟，并加强了在本国实施《世界卫生组织烟草控制框架公约》的国家协调机制和基础设施。在本次庆祝活动中，公约秘书处首长Haik Nikogosian博士受邀访问该国。为审查公约的实施和确定下一步应采取的措施，他会见了政府官员和国民大会代表，包括卫生部长Zoran Stankovic教授、国民大会发言人Slavica Djukic Dejanovic教授和外交部多边合作处处长Vuk Zugic。Nikogosian博士还对国民大会卫生和家庭委员会发表演讲，并会见了烟草控制理事会和国家烟草预防委员会的成员。

Serbia conmemora el primer aniversario de la ley sobre la protección contra la exposición al humo de tabaco
El 11 de noviembre de 2011, Serbia conmemoró el primer aniversario de la aplicación plena de la Ley de protección de la población contra la exposición al humo de tabaco. Entre otras cosas, la ley prohíbe fumar en los lugares de trabajo y los espacios públicos y refuerza el mecanismo de coordinación nacional y la infraestructura para la aplicación del Convenio Marco de la OMS para el Control del Tabaco (CMCT de la OMS) en el país. Con motivo de esa celebración se invitó al Dr. Haik Nikogosian, Jefe de la Secretaría del Convenio, a visitar Serbia. El Sr. Nikogosian se reunió con funcionarios del Gobierno y representantes de la Asamblea Nacional, entre otros, el Ministro de Salud, Profesor Zoran Stankovic, el Presidente de la Asamblea Nacional, Profesor Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, y el Sr. Vuk Zugic, Director General de Cooperación Multilateral del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, a fin de pasar revista a la aplicación del Convenio y de definir las siguientes medidas que se debían adoptar. El Dr. Nikogosian también intervino ante el Comité de Salud y Familia de la Asamblea Nacional y se reunió con miembros del Consejo para el Control del Tabaco y el Comité Nacional para la Prevención del Tabaco.
El Profesor Stankovic y el Dr. Nikogosian dieron una conferencia de prensa conjunta, que permitió compartir con el público los principales mensajes del evento conmemorativo y la aplicación del CMCT de la OMS.
La Secretaría del Convenio y el Gobierno llevarán un seguimiento de los resultados de los exámenes conjuntos a fin de reforzar la aplicación del Convenio.
