Lebanon – New tobacco-control law adopted
AUGUST 2011 – On 17 August 2011, the Lebanese Parliament adopted a new tobacco-control act. The most important provisions of the act include: a complete ban on smoking in all closed public places such as restaurants, cafes and public transport; a ban on tobacco companies from conducting any kind of advertising or sponsorship campaigns; and a warning that covers 40% of cigarette packs. Fines for non-compliance with the new smoke-free regulations will be applied to both the owners and the smokers themselves. The law gives owners of hospitality establishments one year to prepare for the upcoming ban on smoking in closed spaces. More than 3500 Lebanese die each year from tobacco-related diseases.

Liban – Adoption d’une nouvelle loi antitabac
Le 17 août 2011, le Parlement libanais a adopté une nouvelle loi antitabac. Les principales dispositions de la loi sont les suivantes : interdiction complète de fumer dans tous les lieux publics fermés tels que les restaurants, les cafés et les transports publics ; interdiction faite aux cigarettiers de mener un type quelconque de campagne de publicité ou de parrainage ; et mise en garde couvrant 40 % de la surface des paquets de cigarettes. Les amendes pour non respect des nouvelles dispositions antitabac seront appliquées aussi bien aux propriétaires d’établissements qu’aux fumeurs eux mêmes. La loi laisse aux propriétaires d’établissements une année pour se préparer à l’interdiction à venir sur la consommation de tabac dans les lieux fermés. Plus de 3500 libanais meurent chaque année de maladies liées au tabac.

黎巴嫩 – 新的烟草控制法获得通过

Ливан - принят новый закон по борьбе против табака
17 августа 2011 г. Парламент Ливана принял новый акт по борьбе против табака. Наиболее важные положения этого акта включают следующие: полный запрет на курение во всех закрытых общественных местах, таких как рестораны, кафе и общественный транспорт; запрет на проведение табачными компаниями каких-либо рекламных или спонсорских кампаний; и предупреждение, занимающее 40% поверхности сигаретных пачек. Líbano - Adopción de una nueva ley de control del tabaco
El 17 de agosto de 2011, el Parlamento del Líbano adoptó una nueva ley de control del tabaco. Entre las disposiciones más importantes de la ley figuran las siguientes: prohibición absoluta de fumar en los espacios públicos cerrados tales como restaurantes, cafeterías y transportes públicos; prohibición a las empresas tabacaleras de realizar ningún tipo de campañas de publicidad o patrocinio; y obligatoriedad de incluir advertencias que abarquen el 40% de la superficie de las cajetillas de cigarrillos. Se multará a los propietarios y a los fumadores que incumplan la nueva normativa. La ley da un año a los propietarios de establecimientos de hostelería para que se preparen ante la prohibición de fumar en lugares cerrados. Cada año mueren más de 3500 libaneses de enfermedades relacionadas con el tabaco.
