As the video demonstrates, the so-called CSR of the tobacco industry comes in many friendly forms where the short-term benefit is obvious, but its more insidious nature is less apparent. Tobacco industry CSR activities are used as discreet means to indirectly influence and make tobacco business palatable to the public. The solution therefore is to ban so-called TI CSR or its publication; and where this is not possible, work towards an environment where such activities are denormalized in accordance with the WHO FCTC.
